Ensemble Overview

Are you terrified of singing? Think you can't sing? Perhaps you only dare sing in the bath? Or maybe you enjoy singing and would welcome the opportunity to improve your own skills?

Stockport Local Vocals provides a relaxed and fun way to alleviate some of these fears and to boost confidence in your own vocal abilities, by singing with others to share music making together. It also aims to provide a basic understanding of the voice and to develop personal skills, leading ultimately to a more positive and enjoyable experience of singing in the classroom. All the singing is done in a group and nobody will be asked to sing on their own, and no previous experience of reading music is necessary.

It is open to any adult connected to a school community (such as teachers, teaching assistants, head teachers, governors, parents etc) who would like to improve their singing skills and to sing in harmony with others.

Admission procedure

All adults connected with a school community can attend, regardless of background or experience. Please ring the office on 0161 483 7636 for further information.
