All nine Music Services in the Hub work closely together to deliver a high-quality local offer for children in each borough. We are supported by a rich network of specialist partner organisations who provide inspirational musical opportunities to support the progression of all the children we work, in a diverse range of musical traditions and genres. All Hub projects are co-designed, by groups of partners, to cater for the specific needs of children and young people in Greater Manchester.

Bolton Music Service
Bolton Music Service works in Bolton and Blackburn with Darwen with all sectors of the local community to increase access to quality music making, raise standards of music education across all schools and academies and to provide exciting musical pathways for children through tuition and music ensembles.
We teach around 8,000 children weekly to play a musical instrument, teaching the music curriculum in over a third of local primary schools and run 45 weekly out-of-school ensembles. Many of our students come through the Music Service and then go on to play in regional ensembles. We pride ourselves in looking after the needs of each child and providing the specialist tuition required for each child to realise their potential.

Bury Music Service
Bury Music Service Ltd is the leading provider of music education within the borough. We deliver instrumental and vocal tuition in schools and at our Music centre. We offer young musicians the opportunity to perform in high quality ensembles, including symphony orchestra, string orchestras, brass and concerts bands, a big band and choirs. These ensembles regularly perform across the region and abroad. We also work closely with schools to ensure the children of Bury have access to the very best music education possible. This includes providing CPD for school teachers, delivering high quality music curriculum classes and Wider Opportunity programmes.

Oldham Music Service
Oldham Council Music Service is committed to supporting and fulfilling the musical aspirations of all young people living in the borough and engaging people of all ages in a variety of exciting musical activities. Our range of provision is extensive and covers almost all orchestral and band instruments as well as keyboard, world music and voice in a variety of styles. The Service also provides clearly mapped pathways of progression from the most elementary stages right through to the most advanced and on into the music profession.

Rochdale Music Service
Rochdale Music Service is a friendly and accessible service that provides high quality music tuition in schools and from our centre at Rochdale Town Hall. We believe music is for everyone. We teach over 3,000 children in schools and over 300 from our centre. Whatever your musical interests, your standard of playing or age we can teach you and we have groups for you to join. Music can transform people's lives, improve their health and wellbeing and provide a lifelong hobby and interest. We are fully committed to supporting you to achieve your musical aims, whilst enjoying making music.

The Salford Music and Performing Arts Service (MAPAS) exists to offer the people of Salford fantastic opportunities through the arts. This involves regular performance, enhancement of the curriculum in schools and a stage for young people and adults to shine in schools and other venues across the City and beyond,. As a part of Salford Community Leisure MAPAS helps transform lives through music and exists for all!

Stockport Music Service
Stockport Music Service is a vibrant, performer centred organisation that works across all age ranges and abilities to encourage a lifelong enjoyment of and participation in music. From the very first steps on a person’s musical journey, we work closely with our schools, partners and parents to provide opportunities for all children and young people, regardless of background or prior experience. Excellence, enjoyment, progress and achievement are all built upon the development of the whole musician and there are ensembles and workshops available for all. Traditional bands and choirs sit alongside rock school and music technology groups with an equal focus on inclusion and excellence.

Trafford Music Service
Trafford Music Service is committed to creating ongoing high quality music making opportunities for students from nursery to upper sixth. We offer an extensive range of music provision including music curriculum in schools, whole class instrumental projects, group & individual lessons, ensembles for all abilities, infant provision, holiday provision and teacher training for classroom teachers. We aim to continue improving and developing our current provision while increasing our links with community music projects in Trafford to provide further opportunities for our students.

Wigan Music Service
Over the last twenty-two years, Wigan Music Service has grown from a small instrumental teaching agency working with only a few hundred children across the Wigan borough into a fully encompassing support service for music provision in schools. We now work with over 10,000 pupils per year through our curriculum provision, whole class instrumental projects, small group and individual music lessons and our award winning ensembles. We are in a position to provide a flexible high quality support service no matter what the level of need or ambition is held by a school or an individual student.

Hallé Ensembles
Hallé Ensembles complements the work of Hallé Education in developing highquality music-making for gifted and talented young people of ages 8 - 19 from a wide variety of backgrounds. There are four permanent ensembles: The Hallé Youth Orchestra, the Hallé Youth Choir, the Hallé Youth Training Choir and the Hallé Children's Choir.

BBC Philharmonic
The BBC Philharmonic is acknowledged as one of the UK?s finest orchestras. It is part of the BBC's family of six performing groups and tours widely in the UK and internationally. Most concerts are broadcast live or recorded for BBC Radio 3. The orchestra is based at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays, its main concert series continues at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. The BBC Philharmonic has also made over 250 recordings with Chandos Records.
The orchestra is supported by Salford City Council, enabling the orchestra to build active links in the area through a busy learning and community programme.

The Bridgewater Hall
The Bridgewater Hall is Manchester's international concert venue, built to give the best possible space for music. The Hall hosts over 250 performances a year including classical music, rock, pop, jazz, world music and much more.
The Hall is home to three resident orchestras: the Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata. The Hall also programmes its own classical music season, the International Concert Series, and works with external promoters to provide a vast range of music programming in Manchester.
Bridgewater for All is the Learning and Participation programme at The Bridgewater Hall. We provide opportunities for schools, families, adults and communities to get involved with the work of the hall. Whether you're taking your first steps into the world of music or a you’re professional looking for new ideas, our programme of projects, events and performances can offer something for you.

Brighter Sound
Brighter Sound is a creative music education company and charity with 12 year's experience of working across Greater Manchester, teaching music, and using music as a means of helping young people with personal development. We specialise in working with children and young people in challenging circumstances but work across the board with curriculum support, and extracurricular music workshops and tuition, from engagement level to advanced, and from group work to individual mentoring and tuition.

Charanga
Charanga is a national organisation and the technology partner of choice for over 60 Music Education Hubs.
Charanga works in partnership with the hub to provide local children and young people with Music World online learning for 24 instruments and instrumental teachers with access to Music World Professional digital teaching and learning support.
For Primary schools, Charanga works closely with the Hub to provide teachers with a Musical School programme that includes contemporary digital teaching resources with CPD delivered by local curriculum music specialists. Secondary schools use Charanga's Music Coach programme to provide students with access to independent digital learning.

Chetham's School of Music
Chetham’s is the largest specialist music school in the UK, and the only one in the north of England. Originally established as a charity school in 1653, it became a co-educational, specialist music school in 1969 and, over the last 50 years, has established itself as a central part of music education in the UK. They provide opportunities for young musicians from the HUB to join in a variety of ensemble activities.

Manchester Camerata is acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading chamber orchestras, bringing audiences first-class performances which are bursting with vitality.
Manchester Camerata is committed to the inspirational power of creative learning, using the music we play in the concert hall as the inspiration for projects with people of all ages. Each year more than 12,000 people from schools and communities across the North West take the lead in projects alongside Camerata musicians, composers, dramatist, poets, visual artists, digital artists, film makers, djs, engineers, architects and dancers to create their own new art.

The Royal Northern College of Music
The RNCM, is now 40 and has, for many years, been the first choice institution for aspiring professional musicians from the UK and overseas. Students musical education and training is delivered by internationally renowned tutors from all over the world. Sing for Pleasure
Sing for Pleasure is a charity that aims to encourage the enjoyment of better singing in class and choir across the country through four main areas:
• The delivery of a highly respected conductor training programme designed to equip choral conductors and vocal leaders to get the best from their choir,
• Professional development for teachers,
• A variety of events designed to provide quality singing opportunities for
children and adults at all levels of experience and ability from all backgrounds,
both nationally and internationally,
• A range of high quality teaching resources for both adults and children. -
Spirit Studios
The UK’s first music production and sound engineering school, Spirit Studios have been teaching generations of music makers since 1984. We’re a small, vibrant community of expert tutors and talented students in the heart of Manchester City Centre. We provide degree and industry courses in music production, live sound, audio engineering and music business. Students learn directly in world-class facilities which includes 10 recording studios, a live venue and 110 audio workstations. This is where music careers start.
We also offer a range of outreach activities available for schools and colleges to help inspire and inform young people about their future within the creative industries.

BIMM Institute
BIMM Institute opens the doors to the music industry. We encourage creative freedom, provide real-world industry experiences and build a community across our eight colleges in the UK, Ireland and Germany.
Students are given access to unrivalled industry connections, experienced lecturers who live and breathe the world of music, and the chance to choose from specialist courses such as Songwriting, Electronic Music Production and Music Business – as well as joint honours degrees like Music Performance with Music Production.
