Youth Programme:
A project for young people outside of school that brings together classical and non-classical music and musicians to create new fusion music. Inspired by the Hip-Hop of 1970s New York young people take music from the concert repertoire, incorporating their own ideas and influences to explore the creative process to create and build their own new music and perform their REmix.
Youth Forum:
An opportunity for young people to join the forum and shape Camerata’s future Youth Programme projects and engagement. If you have a desire to make a difference within your community and bring music to
a wider audience; whether your expertise lies in singing, rapping, DJ’ing, song-writing or instrumental playing, Camerata Youth Forum wants you!
A partnership project with Royal Exchange Theatre for young people on the Autistic Spectrum. After school sesisons, Spring and Summer terms from January each year.
Interactive Presented Concerts for Schools:
KS2 children get inside the music, the building blocks of composition and the instruments of the orchestra through interactive singing, rhythm and composing activities. In partnership with The Bridgewater Hall.
