Sing for Pleasure is a charity that aims to encourage the enjoyment of better singing in class and choir across the country through four main areas:
• The delivery of a highly respected conductor training programme designed to
equip choral conductors and vocal leaders to get the best from their choir
• Professional development for teachers
• A variety of events designed to provide quality singing opportunities for
children and adults at all levels of experience and ability from all backgrounds,
both nationally and internationally
• A range of high quality teaching resources for both adults and children

• A team of first class tutors and dedicated volunteer support from our loyal members
• A well established and respected Conductor Training Programme providing regular courses both locally and nationally
• Bespoke conducting courses tailored to suit the needs of the participants
• Clearly defined stages; courses for Foundation, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and Advanced Conductors; offering access for people with different levels of experience
• Access to financial support for teachers working with primary school children, through the generosity of the John Lewis Partnership
• Bolton Young Conductor Programme and Bolton Bursaries available, in recognition of our partnership and mutual support
• A wide range of children’s singing days, adult singing days, festivals and workshops
• Opportunities for singers to develop their personal skills through the ‘Musicianship for Singers’ courses, technique sessions and specialist sessions with vocal experts
• A range of fully road-tested, reasonably priced song books to help develop unaccompanied choral singing, from infant level right through to mixed voice adult choirs
