New Electric Strings and Beginner Guitar Groups to start in September

On Wednesdays 6.00 – 7.00 pm, an exciting new group will be exploring the possibilities of the electric violin, using effects pedals, recording and improvisation to produce new compositions, and to play specially written pieces and arrangements. If you are a player of approximately Grade 4 standard and above, all you need is the confidence to have a go and to create your own solo, or turn your electric violin into a whole string orchestra. If you are interested in joining this group, please ring 0161483 7636 or email Jon Henderson at: jonathan.henderson@stockport.gov.uk

Led by Dave Conyard, this new group for Beginner Guitar players will start at the Music Service on Monday evenings, from 5.45 – 6.45 pm. Players will have the opportunity to play some of their favourite tunes and will also explore different styles of from pop, rock jazz and classical guitar music. It is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and to enjoy music making with other guitar enthusiasts. For more information, please ring the office.
