GM Music Hub: Charges, Remissions and Bursaries

Greater Manchester Ensembles – Information for Parents / Carers and young people

The local Music Services in Greater Manchester work together, and with partners in the region, to provide a number of GM Ensembles which offer an exciting music pathway for young people in all of our local boroughs.

Young people with experience of local music-making are nominated for a place in the regional groups. They have the chance to rehearse and perform alongside young people from other areas of Greater Manchester, receive tuition and mentoring from professional musicians and to perform in world-class venues.

The annual membership for these groups is £120 and includes 3 weekend workshops/rehearsals (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) plus an end of year performance at the Bridgewater Hall. Sometimes the number of rehearsals is changed to suit the requirements of each group, and the annual membership charge will be adjusted accordingly.
