Inclusion, Diversity, Equality and Access (IDEA)
It is our ambition within the Greater Manchester Music Hub to create an inclusive place to work, to learn and to collaborate with each other. We are seeking to create a sense of belonging within our music education community where every individual is valued and respected.
The Greater Manchester Music Hub is committed to creating an environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone is treated fairly, regardless of gender, gender identity, disability, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital or transgender status, age, or nationality.
All local Music Services in the GM Music Hub have an IDEA Champion, working closely with local focus groups. This helps us maintain our commitment to an inclusive environment and to continuously review our IDEA policies to ensure that our Hub Lead organisation, and its partners, are known for the way we value diversity and ensure that everyone feels included.
We work closely with a large number of regional Hub Partner organisations (in addition to local Music Services) to share our ambitions and strategies for IDEA. Through partnership working we are able to deepen our understanding of working with diverse communities and of their specific needs.
We continuously strive to improve our approach to IDEA and we value feedback from all those who engage with us. Please get in touch with our IDEA team if you have any comments or suggestions
