Supporting Schools is central to the work of the GMBD Music Hub. We know from experience that a school alive with music is a happy and successful school and we want to work in partnership with you to bring the very best in music education to you and your children.
Each of the areas in the GMBD Music Hub – Bolton and Blackburn with Darwen, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan – has an effective local music service with a bespoke offer for local schools and we ask that you contact your local music service in the first instance to discuss the needs of your school. The following programmes are on offer across the region:
1. Whole Class Instrumental Teaching (First Access programme)
2. Supporting your Curriculum (training and weekly delivery in your school)
3. Instrumental / Vocal teaching with specialist teachers (individuals/small and large groups)
4. School Choirs and Ensembles ( in and out-of-school)
5. Local and Regional performance events with other schools
6. Special Projects with GMBD Hub partners
7. Primary and Secondary Music Subject Networks
8. Support for schools with self-evaluation in music
